Centre hikes LPG Subsidy for Ujjwala Beneficiaries to ₹ 300 from ₹ 200
The Central government had raised the subsidy amount for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries by ₹100.
This means that the subsidy provided to poor women under the Ujjwala Yojana has been raised to ₹ 300 per 14.2-kg cylinder for up to 12 refils per year. Earlier this subsidy amount was ₹200.
Ujjwala beneficiaries will now have to pay just₹603 per 14.2-kg cylinder.
Before this, the beneficiaries were paying ₹703 per 14.2-kg cylinder as against the market price of ₹903.
