RBI keeps Repo Rate unchanged at 6.50% in Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) Meet on October 06, 2023
The RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das announced the Monetary Policy Committee’s (MPC) decision on October 06, 2023, to keep the key policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) unchanged at 6.50 percent.
This is the fourth time in a row that the MPC decided to maintain the status quo on the repo rate.
Consequently the various rates are as under:
Policy Repo Rate : 6.50%
Standing Deposit Facility (SDF)= 6.25%
Marginal Standing Facility Rate : 6.75%
Bank Rate : 6.75%
Fixed Reverse Repo Rate : 3.35%
CRR : 4.50%
SLR : 18.00%
RBI has retained the real GDP growth forecast at 6.5% for FY24 and 6.6% for FY25.
Next Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting scheduled for Dec 6-8, 2023.
