• India is hosting the 20th edition of the football AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 from January 20, 2022 to February 06, 2022..
• The tournament will be held in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Pune.
• India is hosting the competition for the second time after the first one being hosted in 1979.
• 12 teams will be competing for the trophy in AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022. Teams have been divided into three groups:
  • Group A – India, China PR, Chinese Taipei, and IR Iran
  • Group B – Australia, Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia
  • Group C – Japan, Korea Republic, Vietnam, and Myanmar
• The tournament will be the deciding stage of Asian qualification for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
