- The World Bank has appointed Côte d’Ivoire national, Auguste Tano Kouame, as the Country Director for India.
- The term of Auguste is effective from August 01, 2022, for a period of five-years.
- He replaces Junaid Kamal Ahmad of Bangladesh.
- Prior to this, Auguste served as the World Bank’s Country Director for the Republic of Turkey.
