First rocket launch to space from UK soil to take place on January 09
The first-ever rocket launch from the UK soil is scheduled to take place on January 09, 2023 under the mission called ‘Start Me Up’.
The launch into space will take place from Spaceport Cornwall and will involve a repurposed Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 aircraft and Virgin Orbit’s LauncherOne rocket.
The aircraft 747 will be dubbed as Cosmic Girl.
It will be the first time that a satellites will be launched into space from Europe.
Earlier, satellites manufactured in the UK were sent to foreign spaceports to be launched into space.
