Govt approves implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission with a budget of Rs.1,600 crore
  • Union Cabinet has approved the pan-India implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) with a budget of Rs.1,600 crore for five years. 
  • Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is a scheme of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The National Health Authority (NHA) will be the implementing agency of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
  • Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was launched by PM Modi in September 2021. 
  • Under this scheme ciizen will have 14 digit ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) numbers, to which their digital health records can be linked.
  • Objective of Ayushman Bharat – Digital Mission aims to connect the digital health solutions of hospitals across the country with each other. This digitisation will make healthcare easier.
