Indian and French Navies holds Maritime Partnership Exercise in The Atlantic
The Navies of India and France conducted a Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) in the North Atlantic Ocean on July 29 and 30, 2022.
Indian Navy’s guided-missile frigate INS Tarkash and the French Fleet Tanker FNS Somme participated in the exercise.
The two ships carried out various surface and aerial exercises that included replenishment at sea (RAS) exercise, joint air operations with the maritime surveillance aircraft Falcon 50 participating in multiple simulated missile engagements and air defence drills.
The successful conduct of these exercises demonstrated the high degree of professionalism and interoperability between the two navies.
