Industrialist and Philanthropist Karumuttu T Kannan passes away at 70

• The renowned industrialist and philanthropist Karumuttu T Kannan has passed away, following a brief illness. He was 70.
• Mr. Kannan was the Chairman & Managing Director of Madurai-based Thiagarajar Mills Ltd.
• This mill was founded in 1936 by Kannan’s father, late industrialist and philanthropist Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar.
