Narinder Batra resigns as FIH, IOA president and IOC member
Veteran sports administrator Narinder Dhruv Batra has resigned from his positions as the President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), as well as the member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), citing “personal reasons”.
Batra was elected to the post of IOA president in 2017.
He was inducted as an IOC member in 2019 and later became a member of its Olympic Channel Commission.
Batra became president of FIH in 2016 and was re-elected as the FIH president for a second term in 2021.
