The World Athletics has announced that the 2025 World Athletics Championships will take place in Olympic Stadium of Tokyo in Japan.
In 2025, Japan will also be celebrating 100 years of the Japanese Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF).
Before this, Japan has hosted the event in 1991 in Tokyo and again in 2007 in Osaka.
It must be noted that the 18th edition of the World Athletics Championships is being held in Oregon , USA, from July 15, 2022. Although the event was scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed due to COVID-19
Budapest in Hungary will host the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
