UNCTAD projects India growth estimate at 6.6% for 2023
The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has raised the economic growth forecast for India’s GDP in 2023 to 6.6% in its Trade and Development Report 2023. Earlier this was projected at 6% in April 2023.
For the year 2024, UNCTAD expects India’s growth to slow to 6.2% in 2024.
The report has further projected the world economic growth to slow to 2.4% in 2023 compared to 3% in 2022.
However, the global growth is expected at 2.5% in 2024.
