Eknath Shinde sworn in as new Chief Minister of Maharashtra
- Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has been sworn in as the new and 20th Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
- Shinde was administered the oath of office by the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshari on June 30, 2022.
- He replaces Shivsena leader Uddhav Thackeray, who served as the 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra from November 28, 2019 to June 29, 2022.
- Shinde is a four-time MLA who has served in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019.
- Apart from this BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has been sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister.
