The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur, has become the first AIIMS among all other AIIMS in the country to receive the prestigious National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Providers (NABH) accreditation.
The NABH accreditation is recognized globally as a standard for healthcare excellence, and is at par with the world’s leading hospitals accreditation standards.
NABH is the principal accreditation for hospitals in India.
AIIMS Nagpur is one of the four All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) announced in the budget speech for 2014-25 in July 2014 by the then Minister of Finance Mr. Arun Jaitley.
The four AIIMS to be set up in the “Phase-IV” were approved at Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and the Purvanchal region in Uttar Pradesh.
