India secures 8 medals at Singapore Weightlifting International 2022

  • India concluded its campaign at the Singapore Weightlifting International 2022 with eight medals, including six golds and a silver and bronze each.
  • Each of the eight Indian lifters who registered for the Singapore International won medals and secured their spots at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, scheduled to be held in July-August..
  • India now have total 12 weightlifters qualified for the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.

Point to be noted: The four players highlighted in bold, secured their CWG-2022 spots by winning gold medals in their respective categories at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships 2021 in December.
