  • The Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNP) has become the first major port in India to become a 100% Landlord port.
  • All berths of JNP are being operated on the PPP model.
  • Under the Landlord port model, the port authority acts as regulatory body and as landlord, whereas the port operations are carried out by private companies.
  • JNP is also known as Nhava Sheva Port. It is headquartered at Navi Mumbai, Raigad district, Maharashtra.
