Jawaharlal Nehru Port becomes first 100% Landlord Major Port of India
The Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNP) has become the first major port in India to become a 100% Landlord port.
All berths of JNP are being operated on the PPP model.
Under the Landlord port model, the port authority acts as regulatory body and as landlord, whereas the port operations are carried out by private companies.
JNP is also known as Nhava Sheva Port. It is headquartered at Navi Mumbai, Raigad district, Maharashtra.
