Moungi Bawendi, Louis Brus and Aleksey Ekimov wins 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry
Scientists Moungi Bawendi, Louis Brus and Aleksey Ekimov have been awarded with the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
The trio have been recognised for their discovery of tiny clusters of atoms known as quantum dots.
The quantum dots are widely used today to create colours in flat screens (computer monitors or televsions), light emitting diode (LED) lamps and devices that help surgeons see blood vessels in tumours.
