PM Modi inaugurates Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Krishnarajapura Metro Line of Bangalore Metro

• The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Krishnarajapura Metro Line of Bangalore Metro on March 25, 2023 and also took a ride in the newly inaugurated metro.
• The 13.71 km stretch from Whitefield (Kadugodi) Metro to Krishnarajapura Metro Line is a part of Reach-1 extension project under Bangalore Metro Phase 2.
• It has been built at a cost of around Rs 4250 crores.
• This new metro line will provide a clean, safe, rapid and comfortable travel facility to commuters in Bengaluru as well as enhance ease of mobility and reduce traffic congestion in the city.
• Apart from this, PM also inaugurated Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR) at Chikkaballapur.
• SMSIMSR will provide free of cost medical education and quality medical care to all.
