Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates 296-km Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh 

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Dy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were also present at the event.
  • The 296-km-long Bundelkhand Expressway will connect Chitrakoot in the underdeveloped Bundelkhand region with the Lucknow-Agra Expressway near Etawah.
  • It will passe through seven districts which are Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah.
  • The four-lane expressway has been constructed at a cost of around Rs 14,850 crore in 28 months.
  • It can be later expanded into six lanes as well.
  • Bundelkhand Expressway is the fourth expressway project in Uttar Pradesh.
