SEBI names Ashish Kumar Chauhan as MD & CEO of NSE
- The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has approved the appointment of Ashish Kumar Chauhan as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of National Stock Exchange (NSE).
- However, the appointment is subject to acceptance of the offer by Mr Chauhan and fulfillment of terms and conditions including approval from the shareholders of NSE,
- Mr. Chauhan is currently the MD & CEO of BSE. His second five-year tenure at BSE will end in November 2022.
- It must be noted that Mr. Chauhan is one of the founders of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), where he worked from 1992 till 2000.
- He is known as ‘father of India’s financial derivatives’.
