Sigra Stadium in Varanasi to be developed as first divyang friendly multi-sports complex
The Government of India has allocated an amount of Rs 400 crore for improvement in the facilities at the Dr Sampurnanand Multipurpose sports stadium, nicknamed Sigra Stadium, located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
This multi-dimensional sports facility is the main stadium in the city where football matches are held.
The government is now working towards developing facilities for more than 50 sports at this stadium.
The Sigra Stadium will be the first multi-sports complex which will be divyang friendly.
