Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar 2022 conferred to- GIDM and Professor Vinod Sharma

Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (in the Institutional category) and Professor Vinod Sharma (in the Individual category) have been selected for the Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar for their excellent work in Disaster Management for the year 2022.
Government of India has instituted an annual award known as Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar, to recognize and honour the invaluable contribution and selfless service rendered by individuals and organizations in India in the field of disaster management.
The award is announced every year on 23rd January, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This year marks the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Additional Information

The award in institution category comes with a cash prize of Rs 51 lakh and a certificate.
In the case of an individual category, award carries Rs 5 lakh and a certificate.
The winners of Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar for 2019, 2020, 2021 were also conferred with the award at the event. Winner names are given below:
2021 – Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society (SEEDS) (Institutional category) and Dr. Rajendra Kumar Bhandari (Individual category)
2020 – Disaster Mitigation and Management Centre, Uttarakhand (Institutional category) and Kumar Munnan Singh (Individual category)
2019 – 8th Battalion of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) located at Ghaziabad (Institutional category)
