Uzbeki GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov wins 2021 Open World Rapid Championship
- The young Uzbekistan GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov has won the 2021 FIDE World Rapid Chess Championship.
- The 17-year old Abdusattorov defeated Russian GM Ian Nepomniachtchi in the tiebreak to take the crown from the World Champion Magnus Carlsen who won the tournament in 2020.
- Meanwhile the Women’s World Rapid Chess Championship title has been won by GM Alexandra Kosteniuk of Russia.
