4 Indian airports named among world’s 100 best airports; Hamad International Airport tops: Skytrax report
- Four Indian airports have found place among the Best 100 Airports in the world list in the World Airport Awards 2022 by Skytrax.
- The Award event is one of the most prestigious quality awards for the airport sector in the world.
- The four airports from India with ranking are :
- Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Delhi – 37th rank
- Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru – 61st rank
- GMR International airport, Hyderabad – 63rd rank
- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai – 65th rank
- Besides being the best airport in India and South Asia for the fourth consecutive year, the Delhi Airport has also been adjudged as ‘the cleanest airport’ in India and South Asia.
- Globally, the Hamad International Airport (Doha, Qatar) is adjudged as the World’s Best Airport for the second consecutive year.
