England beat Germany to win Euro 2022 at Wembley Stadium
England beat Germany, 2-1, after extra time, to win the Euro 2022 trophy in the finals played at the Wembley stadium in London on July 31, 2022.
This is for the first time that England team has ever won the European Championships.
Also, it is the first major trophy for England after 1966, since the England’s men’s team won the World Cup in 1966.
The 2022 UEFA European Women’s Football Championship, or simply Euro 2022, was the 13th edition of the UEFA Women’s Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the women’s national teams of Europe.
