• Noted industrialist and former chairman of Bajaj Auto, Rahul Bajaj, has passed away, due to pneumonia and heart problem. He was 83.
• Bajaj was awarded the third-highest civilian award Padma Bhushan in 2001.
• He stepped down as the non-executive chairman of Bajaj Auto in April 2021, and transferred the responsibility to Niraj Bajaj.
• He was the chairman emeritus of the Indian conglomerate Bajaj Group, the parent company of Bajaj Auto.
